UYF begins Supervisory Board renewal
The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine announces the start of the formation of the Supervisory Board of the Ukrainian Youth Foundation and the competitive selection of its members from among representatives of the public sector.
The Supervisory Board is being formed in accordance with Article 23 of the Law of Ukraine ‘On the Basic Principles of Youth Policy’ and the Regulations on the Ukrainian Youth Foundation, approved by Order of the Ministry of Youth and Sports No. 7322 of 14 November 2025, with the aim of ensuring transparency, openness and effective public oversight of the Fund's activities.
In accordance with part seven of Article 23 of the Law of Ukraine ‘On the Basic Principles of Youth Policy’, the Supervisory Board is formed of 8 persons:
- 2 persons appointed by the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Youth and Sports;
- 2 persons appointed by the Ministry of Youth and Sports;
- 4 persons elected from among representatives of youth and children's public associations, student self-government bodies of higher education institutions and vocational pre-higher education institutions, youth councils (hereinafter referred to as public sector entities) on a competitive basis in accordance with the procedure established by the Regulations on the Ukrainian Youth Foundation.
Ranking voting is conducted separately for each category of public sector entities:
- youth public associations;
- children's public associations;
- student self-government bodies of higher education and pre-higher vocational education institutions;
- youth councils.
Only one member of the Supervisory Board may be elected for each category.
To participate in the formation of the Supervisory Board, documents are submitted separately for candidates and electors.
To nominate a candidate, public sector entities shall submit:
- a decision (minutes, order, etc.) on the nomination of the candidate;
- the candidate's CV;
- a copy of the organisation's founding documents (for legal entities);
- documents confirming the candidate's professional experience, management activities and achievements.
The public sector entities and the candidate are responsible for the accuracy of the submitted documents and information.
To delegate a voter (aged 18 or older) to participate in the rating vote, the following shall be submitted:
- a decision on the delegation of the voter;
- a copy of the organisation's founding documents (for legal entities).
Important! One public sector entity may be represented by one voter and has the right to vote only within its category.
Documents must be submitted by 3 March 2026 by completing the questionnaire.
Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine:
- checks the submitted documents for compliance with the requirements of the law and the Regulations on the Ukrainian Youth Foundation;
- compiles lists of candidates and electors in the relevant categories admitted to the rating vote;
- ensures the organisation and conduct of the rating vote on 10-13 March 2026.
Please note that the list of electors in the relevant categories consists of an odd number of electors. If public sector entities submit an even number of electors, the last elector submitted will NOT be included in the relevant list.
Based on the results of the rating vote, the candidate who receives the highest number of votes in the relevant category is considered the elected member of the Supervisory Board.
In the event of a tie, a repeat vote is held.
Information on the results of the competitive selection and the personal composition of the Supervisory Board of the Ukrainian Youth Foundation will be published on 19 March 2026 on the official website of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Youth Foundation.
Members of the Supervisory Board shall exercise their powers on a voluntary basis within the term specified in the Regulations on the Ukrainian Youth Foundation.
